Now is the perfect time for a maths tutor
Uncertain times
Is now the time that you should be thinking of a maths tutor? The last 12 months have been the most disruptive to education since the second world war. Never before have we seen school closures. The way students are expected to learn has changed on such a scale. As parents and teachers we are all concerned about our children’s education. Are they getting enough work? What level should they be working at? How will the current situation affect them when they return to school?
GCSE and A-level exams
The cancellation of GCSE and A-level exams this year (2021) has shifted the awarding of grades firmly into the hands of teachers. Students will still need to show evidence of their abilities, most likely through classroom assessments. However teacher assessments will play a crucial role is determining what grades students receive.
So whatever grade a student is aiming for, their ability to perform and demonstrate a level of understanding has never been so important. The question we have to ask, is whether they are now in a position do do this given the past 12 months of schooling?

Why a Maths tutor will help
For many people the idea of getting a maths tutor is seen as a negative. For some it is an admission of failure by the student or the teacher. At RAIM Tutoring we strongly believe that a maths tutor is the perfect compliment to a students education. With regular tuition we believe our expert tutors will improve every students understanding of math’s. Here are a few reasons why:
- Expert tutor’s are highly qualified and all work within schools, teaching GCSE and A-level maths.
- Tutor’s develop a personal interest in each child and vice versa i.e the relationship becomes ‘my pupil’ and ‘my teacher’ . Our tutor’s get to know the child very well both academically and socially.
- Our tutoring is ‘tailor-made’ ( information passing ) (explanation) to suit the abilities and understanding capabilities of the child.
- Shy pupils admit to not understanding things – not shy to admit it or afraid to ask questions for fear of peer scorn or derision. The confidence developed with a tutor.
What RAIM Tutoring can offer

We use the Bramble software for our online sessions which has proved extremely popular. Have a look at the video below to see how it works.
